Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Romans 10:17 NIV
To build faith we must surround ourselves with the good news of Christ. I know it is tempting to turn on the television to watch all the things CNN, FOX and others report around the world, but know that it is a distraction by the enemy to focus only on those things. Why you ask? It pulls you away from God.
In such a chaotic world that is filled with distractions, we need to remember our firm foundation. “The cornerstone”, “the rock of ages.” Father God wants us to know that we are in the end times and Lord Jesus will come back like a thief in the night. As God shakes the earth and the heavens, it is important to continue to follow Jesus’ faith steps, so we do not fall in the last moments. The spoken words come to mind:
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Matthew 7:24-27 NIV
The storms have already begun. Make sure your faith is on the firm Rock Eternal. Placing faith and trust for example in money, careers, jobs, titles, cars, family members, friends, even yourself contrary to cultural beliefs, will be demolished in the storm. This blog is to share the good news.
