This blog is for you. As a breathing, walking, and talking testimony of His undeniable supernatural grace and love, I am here to announce true freedom and peace. Here lies testimonies, knowledge, and wisdom of the beautiful, true and inerrant word of God.

The Ransomed Will Sing Songs of Joy

I am evidence of the Lord’s goodness and His promises coming to pass over my life. This post will be a testimony of the Lord and how He saved me. He is willing and wants to do the same for you. Resurrection weekend was the hour, I physically moved into my promised land by faith. Abraham, the father of faith and a friend of God, is my model, and am currently in the same position.

‭[8] By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. [9] By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. [10] For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

Hebrews 11:8-10 NIV

Despite the odds stacked against me, I followed God and I walked in His will daily. The criticism and doubt of people who did not believe that God walked or talked with me tried to break me completely. And I made it anyhow. I am proof of His ransom.

[28] just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:28 NIV

I am not here by works but by faith in Christ. Nothing else could have gotten me here, but my relationship with Christ. Over many years as a hard worker and growing up with the idea that one must perform every second to be loved or to prove one’s worth is exhausting. I’m so glad God loves me regardless of anything I have done or could ever do. The weight is lifted when trust is placed in Him. He does not let His children drown.

Early Saturday morning on March 30, 2024, one year after He called me to be His servant, I set out for Tulsa, Oklahoma. God spoke to me about the land that is flowing with milk and honey. ‭It drinks rain from heaven and it is a land the Lord cares for and His eyes are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end. After spending weeks spiritually crossed over, I physically crossed over the Jordan on that beautiful day.

A few days before my journey, entering the promised land, I began to get nervous. Fear began to settle in my heart but I knew I was doing the right thing in following His word. I was conversing with God and out of concern and comfort, He spoke to me Isaiah 35. Verses 8-10 spoke to my spirit the most at the time:

[8] And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. [9] No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, [10] and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isaiah 35:8-10 NIV

The highway named the Way of Holiness will be for those who walk on that Way. I walk in the Way of Christ and soon I will be on the highway to the land of the living. God spoke will be my home flowing with milk and honey. A land filled with His favor and love as long as I keep His commands to love the Lord, to walk in obedience to him, and to hold fast to him— in Deuteronomy 11. It was not easy, but I left everything I loved in my hometown. God prepared me in advance and showed me that I should trust in Him because not everyone has your interest at heart. The human heart can be selfish and the mind small to the Lord’s ways. People, especially family, can hold you back because of their emotions wanting you to stay behind with them. However, I have been redeemed and I have entered Zion, my promised land, with singing and everlasting joy.

The New International Version is my favorite Bible and it is always the first one reached for, however, the Spirit told me to read the King James Version as well and so I did.

[8] And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. [9] No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: [10] and the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 35:8-10 KJV

At the time of reading, I didn’t understand the reason I needed to read both versions. On the highway to my promise, in the middle of the road trip, I was reminded of verse 10 in the KJV version: and the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs.

[18] For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. [19] It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. [20] God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.

1 Peter 1:18-20 NLT

I am the ransomed of the Lord. I was saved from the empty life I was living in my hometown. I now carry a crown of joy on my head and my sorrow and sighing have flown away. In the car as I passed over the ‘Welcome to Oklahoma’ sign, a wave of the Spirit washed over me. Relief and a realization that I am now free from the bondage of every spirit that is not of God. Fear, pain, poverty, lust, coveting, complaining, despair and so many more are released from me in Jesus’ name. For my sake, He has been revealed to me by God.

There is not one thing He has done for me that He would not do for the reader. As children of God, we have everything we need and therefore lack nothing. If you lack or feel that you are missing something, you have not completely received the gift of the  Living Water. Ask Him to be with you and follow the commands of our Lord. Jesus is not merely our Savior, but He is supposed to be your Lord. A Lord rules over your life, He wants good things for you and to help you mature in the Spirit; do not reject Him, the firm foundation.

Always remember the gift of mercy and grace from our heavenly Father. Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you do not deserve. Our King, our Father, paid for us with His only begotten son so that we may have life more abundantly and can walk, talk, dance, and live amongst Him in the land. Thank you, Jesus, for your ultimate sacrifice of love. The abundance of love within God is unattainable to reach within the human heart. May we always follow after our Lord, Savior, and Leader.

May the Lord Christ Jesus be with you all. Shalom and God bless. Amen.
