Time To Answer The Call

Ah, yes. Answering the call to follow Christ Jesus is always the scariest part of salvation. Walking out on faith and not knowing the following ten steps are. He gives only one or two steps to obey, before He reveals more. No more setting ten-year goal plans! No more stress of having to be somewhere by a certain age or point in your life! When Jesus calls, or chooses the disciples, He picks them while they are in the middle of their jobs and working for a living. Inconvenient but blessed they were. They did not know at the time that God wanted to use them. They were not the typical people you would consider “Holy.” He says to follow Him and in little hesitation leaves immediately. Not all disciples moved as quickly, but in particular Simon, Andrew, James, and John they departed from their jobs and family instantly. They left all they knew and everything they had learned in their previous lives. For a better life, would you follow Jesus? Or do you put family, jobs, and money above Him and rather settle in comfort? I can tell you He is not pleased with one of those answers. I should say I am not here to condemn but to bring conviction. The position in life may cause someone to be unhappy. You may want better but cannot seem to figure out how. He is calling you to trust in Him and His guidance.
In Matthew 22:4 (chapter 22 verse 4), it is recorded that Jesus is telling the people a parable, then ends with the statement, “For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.” If you have not read this parable, I recommended it. It is a good story to use during time set aside for devotion. Many people are called, but few are chosen. Hmm. Could it be that most people are declining the call? They may hear it and promptly turn on do not disturb so they do not have to face and carry the pressure of standing out.
I understand the pressure and distress. Many moons ago, I was extremely apprehensive and scared to death, but once you build trust with God, your faith in Him becomes immeasurable. I started a YouTube channel; I answered the call. I started a TikTok not long after; that was me answering the call. This very blog created by yours truly is me answering the call. If it were my choice, I would preferably run and hide. However, God will give you the desires and petitions of your heart when you delight in Him (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬). Key words are “delight in Him.” He will not give you fleshly desires, only the desires after you are renewed, restored, and transformed. It took much time to get here, but I am excited about what God has for me. I would have never imagined that getting into ministry would be a passion of mine. It takes time, but He will give you a new heart after the old is damaged. I am excited to share my testimonies with the world and the things God has given me wisdom on and around. God will get the glory out of my life. Cast all your fears and anxieties on Him and allow Him to guide your steps. By this time next year, you will be at a much better and fulfilling point in your life if you answer the call. I prophesy in the name of Jesus. I am living proof. His promises are for you to live a life of overflow and abundance. Will you allow Him to get the glory from your life?
